I am very sad about today’s news in Paris. This is why I always suggest my clients to register with the State Department when traveling outside of the United States.
Given today’s very sad news about the lives lost in Paris and those American travelers stuck for the moment in the city, I urge you to register your trip with the State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).
PURPOSE: To notify U.S. citizens/nationals in the event of a disaster, emergency or other crisis, and for evacuation coordination, the information solicited on this form may be made available as a routine use to appropriate agencies whether federal, state, local, or foreign, to assist the Department in the evacuation or provision of emergency service to U.S. citizens, or for law enforcement purposes. The information is also made available to private U.S. citizens, known as wardens, designated by U.S. Embassies to assist in communicating with the U.S. Citizen community in an emergency.
Starting back in 2013, Royal Caribbean became the first cruiseline to undergo full certification with Autism at SeasTM. Their Staff is Silver Certified in Autism Awareness. All Youth staff are required to have a four year University degree or international equivalent in education, recreation or a related field. They also have at least three to five years qualified experience in working with children ages six months to 17 years.
Royal Caribbean offers an Autism friendly initiative for families living with Autism. This includes sensory friendly films (low-lit & low volume environment) and toys, dietary menu options, and overall autism friendly training for Adventure Ocean staff and more. Beginning late October 2015, The Autism Channel will be available via the complimentary on-demand section in guests’ stateroom televisions. There will be over 35 TV shows and short programs for children and parents to choose from.
In addition, Royal Caribbean offers a wide range of autism friendly products and services, and they include:
- Priority check-in, boarding and departure
- Special dietary accommodations including gluten-free and dairy-free
- Adventure Ocean flexible grouping by ability for children 3 to 11 years old
- Adventure Ocean toilet-trained policy exception
- Pagers/phones for parents of children in Adventure Ocean program while signed into our care
This month, I completed the Royal Caribbean’s Autism Friendly Certified Training Program in order to better understand and serve my clients. It was important to me to understand the needs of families with Autism and make sure that ALL have a great vacation.
For those of you out there that are my clients or follow me on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Lauren.Ticket2Travel, know that I provide my clients with gift baskets, along with their travel documents. E-Documents or plain ole paper documents are so boring!
These Mickey Mouse Baskets are looking for new homes! (Since I took this picture yesterday, the Mickeys have multiplied – haha)
So if you want one of the AWESOME Mickey Mouse Baskets stuffed with goodies personalized for your trip, book any Disney Deluxe Resort Package at Walt Disney World or a 7-Day Disney Cruise in a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with a Verandah with me and one of these Mickeys will be yours! (While supplies last)
So give me a call or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit my website at www.laurenliebert.com
Now everyone, sing along...
Now that you will have this stuck in your head for the rest of the day…let me just say you are Welcome!
A fun fact – “It’s a Small World” is played on a continuous loop for at least 16 hours a day at 5 different theme parks around the world! (Truly, you have to admit that having this iconic song running in your head is just a little less time…)
If it has been awhile since you have visited the Original at Disneyland, it is time to give me a call to discuss your next visit. Disneyland made a few upgrades a couple of years ago to add in some of your favorite Disney Characters, such as Mulan, Pinocchio, et al. Do agree or not with this change?
It’s time to get your Mickey fix and sing along with everyone else in your tour boat.
So in following up from my past post about the Quantum of the Seas (https://travel-rrific.com/2013/02/06/royal-caribbeans-sunshine-project-quantum-class/), let me introduce to you my exclusive web page that gives you the entire Quantum Experience.
Royal Caribbean’s dedication to innovation continues! From new experience of a 360-degree view from a glass capsule at 300 feet in air, North Star cannot be found on any other cruiseline. Experience RipCord by iFly (the first sky diving simulator at sea), to the SeaPlex where you can roller skate or smash into your family and friends with Bumber cards.
So take a few minutes to experience what your next vacation will be like at – http://laurenliebert.com/quantumoftheseas.html
HOT OFF THE PRESSES!!!
Oscar the Grouch was such a great hit at Beaches Ocho Rios, that he is now going to be joining all of his Sesame Street friends at Beaches Turks & Caicos and Beaches Negril!
From Trash To Treasure gives children a special peek into Oscar’s “trashland,” and offers them the opportunity to turn trash into treasures through playing and creating. Children will reuse everyday materials to build castles, cars, mazes, puppets, or anything else that might come into their imaginations. Guests are also invited to join in the Grouch Sing-A-Long as the opening act for the Beaches Resorts Caribbean Adventures with Sesame Street® Stage Show and take photos with the King of Trash himself.
As a proud sponsor of Sesame Street®, Beaches Resorts is the only Caribbean resort company to offer engaging activities with a colorful cast of walk-around characters including Elmo, Cookie Monster, Grover, Zoe, Bert and Ernie, Abby Cadabby, The Count, Big Bird, and now Oscar the Grouch. With so many hands-on activities available, from Baking with Cookie Monster to Story Time with Elmo, there is an ideal activity for every child.
So give me a call or send me an e-mail to discuss planning the best family vacation you will ever have!
Well it has finally been revealed…Royal Caribbean’s long awaiting Sunshine Project – The new Quantum Class of Ships!
This is a follow-up to my earlier post Sunshine Project. Royal Caribbean will be launching 2 new ships the Quantum of the Seas and the Anthem of the Seas. They will debut in the fall of 2014 and the spring of 2015, respectively.
These ships will be smaller than the enormous Oasis Class and will only hold 4100 passengers vs. 5400 passengers. Royal Caribbean is going to bring in all of their world class entertainment and amenities for this class of ship. Going with the premise – smaller might be better!
Stay tuned for further updates!
BIG BIRD & THE REST OF THE SESAME STREET GANG HAVE FOUND EMPLOYMENT…in Jamaica and the Turks & Caicos Islands.
Poor Big Bird got notice on the evening of October 3rd that he and all of his friends “might” be out of a job in a month. However, they do have a back-up plan and they want to celebrate it with all of those great families out there!
You can find them over on the islands of Jamaica and even the Turks & Caicos!
Your kids can go bird watching with Big Bird, bake cookies with Cookie Monster, go on treasure hunts with Abby Cadabby, check out Oscar the Grouches “Trashland” and learn how to make creative items with scraps, and even do science experiments with Super Grover.
If that’s not enough…there are parades and stage shows!
To make this all happen for your family, I have a special for up to 65% off, PLUS 1 night FREE! So come on and take the time to get to know your favorite friends.
Contact me today and I will match you up with the right property for your families budget and needs.
It’s true! Mickey Mouse & pals know a good thing when they taste it! A new wine bar at the Italy Pavilion at Epcot Center coming in early May. I am so glad Disney has not left us adults out when visiting their properties… 😉
Tutto Gusto seats approximately 100 people and will feature décor inspired by an Italian wine cellar with stone walls and floors, and vaulted ceilings and a fireplace in the dining room – not to mention a selection of more than 200 Italian wines and more than a dozen small-plate menu items! The downside is that it is only open from 11:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., so no late night sipping in the park…
But wait! They will not just limit it to serving wine, but Italian Beer too! They didn’t leave out the Moretti fans out there.
Best of all, Tutto Gusto is part of the Disney Dining Plan. WOO HOO!!!
My boss, Anita Pagliasso writes a monthly column for Agent@Home Magazine. This month she chose to include an exchange I had with a client who was interested in taking a Thanksgiving cruise with her family, but had some…let’s say… “concerns.”
Without a doubt, I will go that extra mile to make sure you have the vacation of your dreams!
Here’s the link for the article, it is a great & entertaining read (TRUST ME!) http://www.agentathome.com/Article.aspx?n=2654
